The Reference Displays section provides controls for changing the scaling mode for any additional displays that are attached to your workstation.
In order to use a reference display, please ensure it is connected to the same GPU that is being used to drive your desktop, and you have configured your desktop as a shared desktop space.
You can enable each display to be used as a reference, and doing so will mirror any clip shown in the Cinema window.
Please note that reference displays cannot be interacted with to perform any drawing or selection tasks, and are intended to be used as reference device only. You must also have an open project before you can enable a reference display.
Once a reference display is enabled, you can assign a scaling mode tha controls how the image is displayed using a drop-down menu:
- Scale To Fit. This mode will scale and pan the image to best fit your display device.
- Fixed 1:1. This mode will ensure the image is displayed at a fixed 1:1 pixel size in the centre of the window.
- Free view. When this mode is enabled, the position and scale of the image can be adjusted using the same pan and zoom mouse controls as are used in the Cinema window.
